Not only that our book club is one of the most unique around!

Every month we feature a novel by a local author and when we meet to discuss the book the writer attends to answer any question our group has about the book. It's a great way to get a behind the scenes look at how a writer works and get a better understanding of the literary world.

We read from every genre so there is something for everyone and there is always coffee and treats available too!

Want to jump on board? Well for July we are reading The Last Day by renowned author John Ramsey Miller and will be meeting on Tuesday July 27th at 6:00pm. Stop in and grab a copy then come in that night for some great discussion!

See you there!!!Uwharrie Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09283033527066089081noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4026586393275910809.post-17892658729648954412010-06-21T13:49:00.001-07:002010-06-21T13:52:40.581-07:00Fun at Authors SaturdayWe had a great time at our Author Saturday event this past weekend. Both authors will be in the store from 10:00am -2:00pm and we are really looking forward to it.

We first met Lizzy at the Locust festival early this year. She had the booth next to ours and was so much fun to talk too. She is so warm and funny I am sure everyone will love meeting her.

We also just reviews Shelley Stout's book, Radium Halos, this week and I found it to be a fascinating read.
